About me

I grew up with multiple languages in my house, with a Finnsh mother, a Persian father, and growing up in Sweden.

Years later, a linguistics professor at a university would explain to me that most people that are trilingual or more tend to think in images, not words.

 

Maybe that´s why I was drawn to the camera.

I like to take a snapshot of a thought. My mother had many talents, photography was merely one of them, she also painted, drew, and collected art. She taught me darkroom photography when I was twelve. My first love was film. I used film, for quite some while, and my photos today may be digital, but I process them much the same way the film was processed.

 

I love light, emotion and movement. I don´t think that a perfect picture constitutes of it being perfectly sharp. I sometimes give up using flash in favour of the life in my photo. When I take photos, I observe with the camera. I want to catch emotions, subtle or grand, and it´s always all about “the moment”.

Your moment.

 

I love wedding photography because so many moments, big or small, come together in one single day for so many people, and all because of one single thing – love.

My job is not to be invasive or intrude on your day, but simply to document it. The cake will go, the champagne will be finished, but the photos are there to last. To document those memories of joy, wonder, love and happiness is what I am there to do.

From the moment you start in the morning, until the last dance has echoed out from the speakers at night, I will be there. It is my sincere privilege to be there and document a memory of a lifetime, a love that brings so many together.
